Excerpt: "And it's like, 'Give me a SECOND. I need to go to the bathroom. What part of that do you not understand?' And it goes into this like, 'Who Am I?' Like, I cannot recognize who this person is speaking and it's like I'm standing outside of my body, staring at this person yelling, being like, 'What are you doing?' But I have zero control over it."(More below)

Overview: In this episode, I chat with my first EVER guest, Cadie Grayson about mothers’ mental health.
Takeaway #1: Postpartum struggles can look like more than just depression. You can suffer from anxiety, overwhelm, and rage. These struggles also don’t have to occur immediately after delivering a baby. Sometimes, it can take months, or even a year or more to discover postpartum mental health challenges.
Takeaway #2: Mothers are pressured constantly to do and be all the things. This leads to an unrealistic expectation of what mothers are capable of.
Takeaway #3: Medication has to be normalized. Anxiety and depression aren’t choices we make - and to be our best selves, we need the extra support.
Your turn: Did you struggle with postpartum anxiety or depression? DM me on Instagram @on.the.hard.days and share it with me! You are a rockstar, Mama!
